2017 Summer Social

This year's social will be held June 17th at the Summit Club.  The theme will be a Mexican Fiesta!  Join us for some fun and good food - see here for the flyer.  Remember to RSVP by 28 May!

May Membership Meeting

Our April "Gold Bar" meeting was enjoyed by all who attended.  9 ROTC Seniors were presented with certificates and their first Gold Bars (and an excellent lunch!).  COL Caz Taylor responded to a last minute request to stand in as the guest speaker and did an excellent job.  Thanks Caz!

Our May meeting will be held May 31st at the Summit Club at 1100.  A small buffet meal will be offered - the menu includes baked chicken, BBQ pork and macaroni & cheese. Our guest speaker will be Mr. Greg Allison from the Alabama Power Grid Defense Committee.  His topic will be a discussion of the U.S. electrical power grid system - vulnerabilities and actions to improve.  Sounds interesting and timely!  Please plan to be there and be ready to ask questions!

To RSVP, please contact CDR Christine Downing at csdowning@bellsouth.net or call 256-828-9740.  The meal will cost $15 (cash or check - exact change appreciated!) and is payable at the door.  In order to ensure an accurate head count for the club to prepare the meal, we must have your RSVP NLT May 27th.  Even if you don't eat, please attend and join us for what should be a very good meeting!

Just as a reminder, there will be no Breakfast Gathering in June - gatherings will resume in July.
