2017 Bus Trip to the Total Eclipse
The Chapter is organizing a bus trip to view the Total Eclipse from a position near the path's center above Nashville.  The trip includes a stop for lunch.  We will embark the bus in front of Bed, Bath and Beyond at Bridge Street (map). See the flyer for more information - you should receive this flyer via Email if you RSVP'd to the trip - we will open up to the standby list at the end of July if we have any unpaid seats remaining.

July Membership Meeting

***NOTE:  Meeting Location has changed to The Overlook due to repairs at the Summit Club***

Our May meeting was enjoyed by all who attended.  Our guest speaker, Greg Allison, provided a very interesting brief on the vulnerability of the local and national electrical grid.  He fielded many questions both during and after the brief.  Thanks Greg!
Our July meeting will be held July 26th at the Summit Club Overlook at 1100.  A small buffet meal will be offered - pork schnitzel, bratwurst, red cabbage, fried potatoes, cucumber salad, chocolate cake, brötchen, and assorted beverages. Our guest speaker will be Herb Lewis (The Birdman!).  See the July Sentinel for details on what should be a very interesting (and probably a little longer than usual) membership meeting!  Make your reservations now!
To RSVP, please contact CDR Christine Downing at or call 256-828-9740.  The meal will cost $15 (cash or check - exact change appreciated!) and is payable at the door.  In order to ensure an accurate head count for the club to prepare the meal, we must have your RSVP NLT July 22nd.  Even if you don't eat, please attend and join us for what should be a very good meeting!
Our next Breakfast Gathering will be July 8th at 0900 at the Royal Rose Diner in Huntsville (next to COSTCO/Home Depot).  Come join us for some good chow and stimulating conversation with your HCMOAA friends!
